Stan is from Ellettsville, Indiana and attended Hanover College. He
started in the turf industry with Trugreen Chemlawn in 1993. In 1995, he
joined the staff at Indiana University, first at the golf course and then
at the Athletic Department, eventually filling the role of Athletic Turf
Manager. By overseeing 10 Division-One natural and synthetic turf
fields, Stan became experienced in all facets of athletic turf maintenance,
renovation, and game day preparedness.
Stan is a member of the Sports Turf Managers Association and a member of the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation
Stan is a member of the Sports Turf Managers Association and is past president of the Indiana State Chapter. He also is a member of the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation and past speaker at their winter and summer field days. He has spoken to various groups ranging from the Indiana Lawn and Landscape Association to the Garden City, New Jersey Sports Turf Association.
He is a board member and baseball coach for Smithville Little League and a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, were he serves in the Music Ministry.
Michelle is the AFD Managing Member. She is a member of the Sports Turf Managers Association and serves on their Scholarship Committee. She will be coordinating your job and all the details that keeps the business side of AFD running efficiently.
Stan and Michelle have 3 young children.
